Anushka out and Tamannah in Rebel

Raghava Lawrence is currently basking in the success of Kanchana. For those who are curious about what he is doing next, the dancer/director/actor is directing a film with Telugu heartthrob, Prabhas called Rebel. Anushka was cast as the heroine in this film which was delayed as Prabhas was promoting his film Mr. Perfect and Lawrence was busy with Kanchana. But now that the director and the hero have completed their previous commitments, Rebel is ready to resume.

However, the latest is that Anushka has opted out of the project following creative differences with the director. Lawrence wasted no time in handing over the role to Tamannah who is riding the wave of success with back to back hits like 100% Love with Naga Chaitanya and Badrinath with Allu Arjun. Tamannaah to be banned in Kollywood?

Reigning Tamil-Telugu actress Tamannaah is likely to be banned in Kollywood as she agreed to visit Sri Lanka for the shooting her forthcoming Telugu film Rachcha, starring Ram Charan Teja. The crew has already left for Sri Lanka and the shooting is progressing there at a brisk pace.
Several Tamil organizations, including director Seeman-led Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam, have expressed their displeasure against the actress, urging the film fraternity to ban her.
Notably, in a bid to condemn the Sri Lankan government for killing innocent Tamils in the island nation, Tamil film makers had unanimously passed a motion not to go to the trouble-hit country for film shoots.
It may be recalled that Asin faced the same wrath when she went to Sri Lanka for the shooting of her Bollywood flick Ready. She had a narrow escape from a ban as she claimed that the shoots were planned much before the motion against visiting the island nation was passed.
