Vishal and Sameera Reddy’s thirty kisses

Actor Vishal must be one of the luckiest guys in K’town. He got at least thirty kisses from dusky babe Sameera Reddy and in turn he kissed her only ten times less than that number.

Before you let your imagination run away with you, we are talking about a certain bathroom scene in a crucial segment of their upcoming flick Vedi directed by Prabhu Deva.

“It’s not a forced scene in the film. It’s very much there in the original Tollywood version, Souriyam,” explained the actor.

We hear that Sameera did 30 retakes for this sensuous scene! Vishal has a convincing reason for this.

“Oh yeah, basically the Mumbai heroines have language problems when they come to the Tamil film biz. There were a few humorous dialogues which were a part of the scene. Each time she was kissing me, she was forgetting the dialogues and when she did say the lines perfectly, the kiss went for a toss! In the process, she ended up kissing me on my cheeks thirty times,” he laughs.

Vishal adds, “The director went in for a variety of different-angled shots and finally he’ll keep only the best on the editing table.”

On opting for Prabhu Deva as director, Vishal said, “His track record with remakes is really good. He has a knack of projecting his heroes in a stylish way and his sense of humour is amazing. You can see touches of his original humour in Vedi.”

After Sandakozhi, Vishal says that he will be seen in an angry young man role.

“After shocking the audience with Avan Ivan, I deliberately chose this script, which is a wholesome family entertainer. The movie, which is scheduled for a September 29 release, will be a visual treat,” the actor assures confidently.

Trisha says yes to Vishal

Vishal is feeling sprightly these days.

The reason — the actor has finally succeeded in getting Trisha for his next untitled film, which will be directed by Thiru.

Apparently, Vishal has been pursuing Trisha right from the Sathyam days. He was enthusiastic about casting Trisha in Sathyam and the actress even accepted an advance for the film, when in an unexpected turn of events, Nayanthara was signed for the film.

Later, Vishal tried once again to rope in Trisha for Thoranai but on that occasion Trisha could not dole out the needed dates. When Thiru, who made Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai with Vishal, wanted to cast the Vinnai Thaandi Varauvaaya star as one of the three heroines, she turned down the project as she did not want to be part of a multi-heroine subject.

Even the Avan Ivan actor approached Trisha for his next offering Vedi (which he is doing with Sameera) and the director of the film Prabhu Deva was also keen to get her on board. But sources said that she refused on the grounds that it was not a meaty role.

Now, the buzz is that, at last, the tall actor finally managed to convince the lady to agree to star in his forthcoming film with Thiru.

The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja providing the music. Sources reveal that it was the mind-blowing script which lured Trisha into saying ‘yes’ to the project.

Insiders tell us that Trisha was keeping a low profile after the recent marriage controversy. Looks as though the Mankatha actress is in no mood to get hitched and is busy listening to scripts from top directors.
